Visual Arts 11
Visual Arts 11 is designed to introduce students to advanced mediums and begin to refine their technical skills. Students begin working with mediums such as printmaking, charcoal, cyanotype and 3D media for the first time.
Charcoal Grids
This process involves students using a detailed grid to delicately reproduce impressive detail using charcoal and erasers.
Printmaking
This process involves students exploring the linocut process to create a series of original, hand-crafted prints.
Cyanotypes
This process involves students producing negatives of original photographs, which are then developed using a light sensitive emulsion.
Value Exercises
This process involves student completing a series of form studies using charcoal and pastel. Students consider the relationship between light and form.
Colour Blending
This process involves students developing an advanced understanding of colour theory and colour mixing. Consideration is given to the relationships within colour schemes and purposeful colour palettes.
Creative Investigation
This process involves students completing a conceptual study of a topic or object. Students practice their analytical creativity within refined perimeters.
