Visual Arts 12
Visual Arts 12 focuses on having students explore and embed conceptual meaning in their artwork. They further push their experience with new mediums, with particular attention to 3D forms. Students also make connections with working artists via hands-on workshops and by exploring the local arts community.
This process involves having students communicate conceptual meaning via layering a variety of media types. It offers significant creative freedom.
Exhibition
This process involves our Grade 12 students creating a body of work for public exhibition. Students must produce and curate several pieces of work in relation to a conceptual exploration.
Clay and Sculpture
This process involves students working with 3 dimensional forms such as wood and clay. Student needs to consider spatial relationships to their work and how to interact with a physical environment.
This process involves completing a series of mixing tutorials, colour studies and still life paintings. Students explore advanced colour palettes and gain experience working with portraiture.
This process involves students exploring both traditional and non-traditional mark making using India Ink.
This process involves students experimenting with digital and analog forms of photography. Students complete studies focusing on black and white, composition and experimental lighting.
